Award Criteria

InnovationThe program or initiative represents a new and creative approach to the challenge faced by the organisation.
CultureThe program or initiative incorporates a cultural change approach to diversity where principles are embedded in the DNA of the organisation.
Outcomes and impactThe program or initiative has addressed the challenge, achieved the desired outcomes and/or positively impacted on the business.
SustainabilityThe program or initiative and its impacts or outcomes are sustainable and replicable for the organisation.
LeadershipThe program or initiative is supported or led by the CEO and/or senior leadership team within the organisation.
PolicyThe organisation has a formal policy in place guiding employment practices in relation to cross cultural management, and including assessment and matching of pre-arrival skills to roles within the organisation.
CommunityThe organisation establishes and maintains relationships with other organisation to strengthen in developing, promoting and implementing the initiative/program.
Cultural awarenessThe program/initiative is supported by/incorporates cultural awareness education and training for all employees.

Submission Requirements

Applicants are required to complete the following for the submission:

  1. Organisation statement

    - 100 word statement about the organisation

  2. Initiative statement

    - 100 word statement about the initiative

  3. Awards statements

    - The submission statements must clearly address all criteria

    Submissions need to be completed in the following format:

    1. CHALLENGE STATEMENT (500 words maximum)

      - Statement should clearly outline what challenge the organisation was facing.

    2. INTIATIVE STATEMENT (1000 words maximum)

      - Statement on the initiative/program/strategy that was introduced to address the challenge.

    3. OUTCOMES STATEMENT (500 words maximum)

      - Statement on the outcomes achieved

  4. Supporting Evidence

    - Evidence can be submitted to support any/all of the criteria

    1. Up to 20 single sided A4 pages in total
  5. Referees

    - Applicants may supply a minimum of two referees and a maximum of 10 referees to support the submission.
